Jean Anderson, age 80, of Rolla, ND passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND.

Jean Mildred Anderson was born on March 29, 1938 in Fargo, ND to John and Margaret (Lundgren) Schenkenberger. She was raised in Cando and graduated from Cando High School. Jean was united in marriage to Robert Gibney in 1956 and together they had four children, Randy, Rick, Toni, and Kelly. In 1966 the family moved from Cando to Rolla where she worked as a waitress at Prairie Lanes. After Robert passed away in 1969, Jean took a clerical position at the Rolla Clinic where she worked until 1979. In August 1978, she married Delbert "Bud" Anderson and together they had a daughter, Erin. Bud passed away in 1999.

Jean was a league bowler, a parent volunteer for the Rolla Figure Skating Club, volunteer and substitute staff for Rolla School, a member of the Borderland Auto Club, a member of the Rolla Community Band, and was an active member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, especially at Lake Upsilon. Jean will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Jean is survived by her children, Randy Gibney of Hankinson, Rick (Mandy) Gibney of Fargo, Toni Gibney of Fargo, Kelly Gibney of Rolla, and Erin (David) Klein of Jamestown; eight grandchildren, Bobby, Andrea, Danny, and Nicholas Gibney, Cormac, Nolan and Shaylah Gibney, and Gabriel Klein; 11 great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Carol Carlson of Seattle, WA and Diane Roy of Houston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Schenkenberger, husband Robert Gibney, and husband Delbert "Bud" Anderson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rolla, ND. Pastor Tedd Rieke officiating.
