Yvonne Longie, age 88, of Rolette, ND passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Yvonne Marie Longie was born on April 3, 1938 in St. John, ND to Albert and Eva (LaRocque) Bercier.  She was raised in St. John and completed her education there as well. Yvonne was united in marriage to Benjamin Longie on May 17, 1958 in St. John.  Together they had five children, Connie, Carrie, Glenn, Randy, and Steven. Yvonne worked at the William Langer Jewel Plant in Rolla for many years, retiring in 2010.  She loved spending time with her family and they enjoyed her wonderful cooking and baking, which she was well known for.  Yvonne enjoyed feeding others and having her family home for the holidays. She also liked reading in her spare time.  Yvonne was a giving, kind, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother to many.  She had a wonderful sense of humor, always able to light up the room.  Yvonne will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Connie Longie of Fargo, Carrie Longie of Jamestown, and Glenn (Patti Bercier-Longie) Longie of Belcourt; six grandchildren, Christopher (Aimee) Briones, Justin (Candace) Longie, Jeremy (Megan) Longie, Aaron (Trish Cross) Longie, Christopher Longie, and Sonja BadHorse; 21 great grandchildren, Colter Briones, Cody Briones, Araceli Briones, Ariana Longie, Braylon Longie, Zenna Carpenter, Bennette Longie, Caleb Hogsten, Abigail Hogsten, Bailey Hogsten, Harrison Longie, Brenden Longie, Rylen Longie, Sophia Longie, Taylen Schindler, Addison Bassingthwaite, Tayden Longie, Colyn Longie, Hallie Longie, Lexon Longie, and Ledger Longie; great grandchild, Laikyn Longie; daughter-in-law, Robin Longie of St. John; and many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin Longie, sons, Randy Longie and Steven Longie, siblings, Emma Desjarlais, Bonnie "Tookie" DeMontigny, Irene Manson, Bert Bercier, Joseph Bercier, and Bernard "Bunny" Bercier, and daughter-in-law, Carmen Hager.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Rolla, ND with a Rosary Service at 10:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. A meal will follow funeral services in the church basement.  Burial will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Rolla, ND in the spring.
