Vincent LaFountain Sr., age 52, of Bismarck, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at his home.

Vincent Dean LaFountain Sr. was born to Francis and Nettie (Grant) LaFountain on December 24, 1967 in Denver, Colorado. He attended school in Belcourt at Turtle Mountain Community School, Wachter Middle School in Bismarck, and graduated from Turtle Mountain Community High School in 1987. He attended college in Belcourt at Turtle Mountain Community College and United Tribes Technical College where he graduated with his welding certificate in 2016. Vincent had worked various jobs throughout Fargo, Minot, and Bismarck areas. He loved working with his hands.

Vincent married Terry Houle in 1987. They had four children, Vincent Jr. of Denver, CO, Veronica of Bismarck, Terrica of Bismarck, and Nichola of Bismarck. They divorced in 2004. Vincent had four more children, Tyler, Jenna, Angel, and Latoya, all of Bismarck. He met Clarice (Laducer) LaFountain and after 11 years of being together they married in 2015. He had three step-children with Clarice, Ray Frazier Jr of Bismarck, Allen Frazier of Harvey, and Taylor Michael Gene Laducer-Frutel of Cosmos, MN. Vincent also had 12 grandchildren, Jasmin, Mikaila, Cassidy, Emily, Kendra, Mason, Marcus, Maylee, Jackson, Cody, and Aubree.

Vincent is survived by his wife Clarice; children, Vincent Jr., Veronica, Terrica, Nichola, Tyler, Jenna, Angel, Latoya, Ray Frazier Jr., Allen Frazier, Taylor Michael Gene Laducer-Frutel; sisters, Rita Sharon Shady of Devils Lake, Joan Cree (Byron) of Dunseith, Patty Vivier (Paul Ritcher) of Carrington, Rose Burcham-LaFountain of Mandan, Jenelle (Kelly) Karnopp of Grand Forks; brothers, Leslie (Doris) Vivier of Belcourt, James (Dawn Cosy) LaFoutnain of Fargo, Ricky LaFountain of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Vincent is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Nettie LaFountain, sisters, Mercal Vivier, Aurelia Gunville, Ramona Autobou, Frances LaFountain, and brothers, Vincent Jo Vivier, Alan Vivier, Milton Vivier, Richard Vivier, and Frank LaFountain.

A visitation will be held at Elick Funeral Home from 10:00 Am to Noon on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
