Vernon Morin, age 77, of Belcourt and Rolette, ND passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Vernon Eli Morin was born on November 3, 1943 to Eli and Blanch (Wilkie) Morin.  Vernon was raised in Belcourt where he made his life.  He was united in marriage to Lucenda LaFountain on October 16, 1965 in Grafton, ND.  He had six children, Audrey, Luann, Stacey, Larry, Ryan, and Vernon Jr.

Vernon enjoyed spending time with his family and he also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He liked time spent with his brothers having a drink or two or more as well.  Vernon worked at the Turtle Mountain Housing Authority for many years and made many friends.  Anyone that knew Vernon knew that he was a great man.

Vernon is survived by his children, Audrey (Chris) Randall of Grand Forks, Luann (Stewart) Leen of Littleton, CO, Stacey (Anna) Morin of Belcourt, Larry (Jeanine) LaFountain of Grand Forks, and Ryan (Sara) Morin of Larimore; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Ronald, Cary, Bruce, Dallas, Paula, Cyrilla, Ella, Carla, and Violet; and sister in laws, Velma and Germaine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful wife, Lucenda Morin, son, Vernon Jr., brothers, Curtis, Kurt, Fabian, and Jerry, and a sister, Catherine Belgarde.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will be in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
