Obituary

Travis Keplin-Charette, age 41, of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Satruday, April 3, 2021 at his home.

Travis "Bangishimon" Keplin-Charette was born May 29, 1979 in Belcourt, ND to Rene Belgarde and Annette Keplin-Charette. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education at the Turtle Mountain Community High School graduating on June 7, 1997. Travis further his education at the Turtle Mountain Community College obtaining an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive. He worked as a cook at various places in the community and surrounding areas. He liked cooking it up for family and relatives throughout the years. Travis was the proud father of two daughters, Shelby and Camron Wessels and a grandson, Grayson. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing. His favorite pass time was tinkering on cars, trucks and motorcycles. He also enjoyed the Minnesota Vikings no one could sway him on that. Travis had a wonderful personality and had a nickname for anyone he met. He loved spending time with family members and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and, in our hearts, forever.

Travis is survived by his daughters, Shelby and Camron Wessels both of Dunseith, grandson, Grayson of Dunseith, mother, Annette Keplin-Charette of Belcourt; Siblings, Jamie Charette of St. John, Joann Charette of Belcourt, Johanna Charette of Minot, Rene St. Pierre, and Keith "Totsie' St. Pierre of Dunseith, Kevin "Yogie" St. Pierre of Grand Forks, and Angela Laten of St. Paul, Minnesota and niece and nephews; Zoie Belgarde, Noah Belgarde, Aden Belgarde and Tobias Charette.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Rene Belgarde and grandparents, William and Delima Keplin, uncle Clark Laducer, and many aunties and uncles.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 am, Rosary/Eulogy at 9:00 am prior to the Mass.  Fr. Richard Fineo presiding. Burial will be at a later date.
