Tracy Malaterre Sr., age 53 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at HIA-Heather's House Hospice, Fargo, ND.

Tracy Lee Malaterre Sr. was born on May 12, 1972 in Belcourt, ND to Marvin and Alberta (DeLong) Malaterre.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School.  He furthered his education at college for one year.  Tracy was the proud father of two children, Elisha and Tracy Jr.  He worked at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks as a custodian.  Tracy enjoyed music, playing guitar, singing, and dancing.  He also loved to spend time with his family members, his parents, children, grandchildren, and siblings.  Tracy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Tracy Sr. is survived by his children, Elisha Malaterre of Grand Forks and Tracy Malaterre Jr. of Grand Forks, two grandchildren, Asher Houle and Grayson Houle; parents, Marvin and Alberta Malaterre of Belcourt; siblings, Melissa Malaterre of Belcourt, Kimberly Malaterre of Rolla, and Derrick Malaterre of Belcourt; and nieces and nephews.

Tracy Sr. was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Mary Malaterre and George and Lucille DeLong.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
