Tove Dalgliesh-Henderson, age 80, of Rolla, ND passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, October 25, 2024 at her home.

Tove Land (Nilsen) Dalgliesh-Henderson was born on February 7, 1944 in Honefoss, Norway to Torger and Ingeborg (Land) Nilsen.  She was raised in Norway where she attended school through the 10th grade, and then went on to work at the Chinet factory located in her hometown. She traveled to and began to live in the Sarles ND, United States in 1971 and enjoyed returning to Norway almost every year to visit family and friends.  Tove was united in marriage to Alan Dalgliesh in June, 1971 and together they had two sons, Erik and Espen.  They were united for 16 years until he preceded her in death. She began to work at the elevator in Sarles, ND where she met and then married Howard Henderson in June of 1990. She began to work as the bookkeeper for Henderson Plumbing and moved to Rolla, ND, where they were united for 17 years; he also preceded her in death. Tove officially became a United States citizen in the year 2000. She was very active in the Rolla community. Tove made a trip back to her home in Norway almost every year and celebrated her heritage locally at the Norsk Hostfest, attending 43 of the 45 years, as well as being deeply involved in the event. Through the years Tove and both of her husbands cared for many foreign exchange students, housing at least seven.  She became a pen pal at the age of 12 and the love of writing to others and reading about their lives, communicating with others connected her to people all over the world.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, and animals of all kinds. Tove was also found traveling to many places across the globe throughout her life and enjoyed visiting new places. Tove loved time spent with her family members and many friends, always leaving a positive impact on everyone she knew and met.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Tove is survived by her son, Espen (Dezirae) Dalgliesh of Sarles; step-children, Quinn Dalgliesh of Bisbee, Coby Dalgliesh of Sarles, Vali Dalgliesh of Battle Mountain, NV, Marty Henderson of Mapleton, Myron Henderson of Sheldon, and Gaylene Henderson; grandchildren Haley, Erika, Dexter, Amelia, Aaron, Sheila, and special grandson, Thomas, along with many others; and brother, Oivind (Mona) Nilsen of Norway.

Tove was preceded in death by her parents, Torger and Ingeborg Nilsen, husband, Alan Dalgliesh, husband, Howard Henderson, son, Erik Dalgliesh and step-son Dell Dalgliesh.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rolla, ND. Burial will be in the Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, ND. Pastor Dave Schnackenberg officiating.
