Timothy McCloud, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Rolette Community Care Center, Rolette, ND.

Timothy "Tim" Lloyd McCloud was born on October 19, 1951 in Rolla, ND to Charles and Ella (Gourneau) McCloud.  He was the second oldest of eight children. Tim was raised on the family farm between Rolla and Belcourt and graduated from Belcourt High School in 1969.  He furthered his education at North Dakota State University in Fargo and Bottineau College of Forestry. He joined the North Dakota Air National Guard along with cousin, Mick Gailfus, and was a proud member of The Happy Hooligan's.

Tim was united in marriage to Gail Marcellais and together they had two sons, Timothy and Terry, they later divorced.  He was also the father to another son, Travis. Tim worked in road construction and later owned and operated a trucking business.  He became a pilot and enjoyed flying.  Tim liked racing snowmobiles, watching NASCAR, following the NDSU Bison football team, and watching NFL football as well.  He loved spending time with his sons, his grandchildren, and his companion of many years, Barbara Houle. Tim will be forever remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Tim is survived by his sons, Tim (Shonel) McCloud of Belcourt, Terry (Emily) McCloud of Devils Lake, and Travis (Kayla) McCloud of Bismarck; seven grandchildren, Moriah (Christian) Davis, Mikayla McCloud, Trenton McCloud, Keelie McCloud, Cecilia McCloud, Aubrey McCloud, and Karli McCloud; great grandchild, Rowan Davis; companion, Barbara Houle of Belcourt; siblings, Don (Ardella) McCloud of Bismarck, Susan Roy of Edmomd, OK, Carol (Duane) Foss of Bowman, Mark (Bethany) McCloud of Rolla, Nancy (Brad) Gapp of Buffalo, MN, and Tom (Val) McCloud of Rolla; and many nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ella McCloud and a brother, Gary McCloud.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Father Tony Hession, SOLT presiding.  Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
