Timothy Gourneau, age 68, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Timothy Emil "Timber Wolf" Gourneau was born on April 10, 1953 in Belcourt, ND to Emil and Emily (Brunelle) Gourneau.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his GED there as well.  Timothy enlisted in the United States Marines.  He then went on to the police academy after his military service and became a police officer.  He was united in marriage to Irene Thomas on February 13, 1999 in Belcourt.  Timothy worked as a police officer, for security at the Turtle Mountain Middle School, and security for Turtle Mountain Housing, all in Belcourt.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, always playing jokes on his family members and providing smiles for all.  Timothy was a good and kind-hearted man.  He enjoyed cheering on the Vikings, going to the casino, and playing bingo.  He liked visiting with his family members, even calling at certain times of the day, every day.  Timothy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Irene Gourneau of Belcourt; step-children, Michelle (Gene) DeCoteau and Colin Thomas, both of Belcourt; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Garrick, and Keaton Martin, and Christian Thomas; a great granddaughter, Marianna Thomas; siblings, Leander (Alfreda Morin) Gourneau of Belcourt, Sharon Ballow of Belcourt, and Carol Gourneau of Belcourt; brother-in-law, Rusty (Shirley) Thomas; sisters-in-law, Mary Gourneau, Maxine Gourneau, Tammy Azure, Terry Delorme, Judy (Wayne Slater) Thomas, Lorie (Mike) Martin, and Linda Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Emil Gourneau and Emily Azure and siblings, Anna Mae (Alfred) Laducer, Frank Gourneau, Stanley Gourneau, Larry (Jeanette) Gourneau, Andrew Azure, and Judy (Eugene) Delonais, mother and father-in-law, Anthony and Theresa Vote.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.
