Timothy Morin Sr., age 66, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Timothy "Timmy" Eugene Morin Sr. was born on December 12, 1958 in California to Eugene Morin and Germaine (Davis) Morin.  He was raised in Dunseith and completed his education there as well.  Timmy enlisted in the United States Army following high school and received an honorable discharge.  He was united in marriage to Gail Short on September 28, 1990 in Belcourt, ND.  Timmy was the father of four children, Timothy Jr., Francis, Waylon, and Allen, as well as father to step-children, Kenneth, Alfred, and Amanda.  Timmy worked as a correctional officer for Rolette County and Pierce County from 1999 to 2012.  He also worked at the Skydancer Casino in Belcourt for a short time in the main bank and custodial departments.  Timmy enjoyed watching NASCAR, his favorite was Dale Ernhardt, and playing cards, especially pinochle.  He also liked the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden.  Timmy loved time spent with his wife, Gail, his children, step-children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Timmy is survived by his wife, Gail Morin of Belcourt; children, Timothy Jr., Francis, and Waylon Morin, all of Belcourt; step-children, Kenneth (Andrea) Morin of Beulah, Alfred Morin of Belcourt, and Amanda (Monte) Brown of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Tein and Mercedes Morin; step-grandchildren, Kiara Morin, Skylar Brown, Jasmine Morin, and Jesssa Morin; and a great granddaughter.

Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, son, Allen Morin, sister, Rhonda, brother, Mark, nephew, Wesley Morin, father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Cecelia Short, and brother-in-law's, Maynard and Alfred Short.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2025 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be held at a later date.
