Obituary

Theresa Marie Parisien gained her angel wings on January 9, 2022, at home in Belcourt, North Dakota.  Theresa was 80 years old. Theresa's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her and understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.

Theresa was born on September 25, 1941, to Alphonse and Sarah (Wilkie) Parisien.  She was raised in Dunseith where she completed her General Equivalency Degree, she went on to study Dental Technician at Haskell Indian Nation University of Lawrence Kansas.

After graduating with a degree in Dental Technician, she started her first job at Quentin N Burdick Memorial Hospital as a Dental Technician, kickstarting a 30-year career in this field and worked 4 more years in the kitchen at Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Hospital in Belcourt, North Dakota.

In 2009, Theresa retired and spent her time living her life to the fullest. Theresa was talented in so many aspects of her life.  Theresa was a devoted Catholic.  She spent many hours donating her time to the local churches, especially St. Anthony's. Theresa was an amazing quilter. She made many beautiful quilts.  Theresa was also an amazing baker.  She made the best Juneberry and Apple pies.

Most importantly Theresa was a terrific mother.  Her children were her life.  There was not a day that went by that she didn't pray for all eight of her children.  Theresa is survived by her seven children, Wanda (Donald) Parisien of Portland, Oregon, Roxanne (Shannon) Allery of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, Troy Parisien, Jerrilyn Parisien, Tammy (Darrell) Dubois, Clifford (Joe) Parisien, Kevin (Vicky) Parisien all Belcourt, North Dakota.  Sister, Anita Parisien of Oregon, and 25 grandchildren Cheryse, Kandea, Nathan, Alisha, Bradley, Travis, Ryan, Kyler, Mitchell, Justin, Clifton, Calvin, Edward Jr., Shanae, Devin, Shanese, Clifford, Trey, Trenton, Cody, Laraya, Jasmine, Shelrae, Devan, and Rickayla.  Many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her son Chad Warren, Parents Alphonse and Sarah Parisien, brothers Johnny and Marlin Parisien, and sister Glayds Parisien.

Theresa will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts!

A Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Fr. Michael Slovak presiding.  Burial will be in the church cemetery following the funeral service.
