Theresa Manson, age 91, of Rolla, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Theresa M. (Poitra) Manson was born on July 26, 1929 in Devils Lake, ND to Robert and Eva (LaFrance) Poitra.  She was raised in Rural St. John area and completed her education in St. John, ND.

She was united in marriage to Edward D. Manson in 1949, they later divorced.  Together they had three children Douglas, Helen and Elaine.  Theresa was a wonderful homemaker and she took pride in taking care of her children and loved ones.

Theresa enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.  All children in the family were "Grandma's Babies".  She always loved to keep herself busy. In her earlier days, she loved to ride horses, her own motorcycle.  She was an excellent marksman who would hunt and loved to practice shooting, even with a slingshot.  She had many hobbies which included, reading books, fixing puzzles, and number and word finds.  Her favorite pastimes were to teach all of her children and grandchildren to play cards and dice and to play card games with family and friends, listening to old country music with her family and watching ghost stories, game shows and old westerns.

Theresa is survived by her two daughters, Helen (Roger) Lindberg of Perth, ND and Elaine Kakela and Doug Aos of Rolette, ND; grandchildren, Terry Manson, Jenny Manson, Richard Haggar, Julie (Tony) St. Germaine, Melissa (Barten) LaFontaine, Shawna (Arlan) Martin, and Michael Guilbert; many great grandchildren, Jordan (St. Germaine) Crissler, Nicholas St. Germaine, Justyce Houle, Taylor St. Germaine, Payton LaFountaine, TJ Manson, Rayne LaFountaine, Tracy Manson, Bailee Guilbert, Racquelle Manson, Chantelle Manson, and Ethan Manson; great great grandchildren, Allie Crissler, Ashtyn Crissler, Stormi Crissler, Collins Crissler, Maddyn Crissler, and Ma'khi Manson; brother, Virgil Poitra of Dunseith, ND; and sister, Amanda Poitra of Fargo, ND.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eva Poitra, son, Douglas Manson, granddaughter, Tina Manson, siblings, Douglas Poitra, Willard Poitra, Wayne Poitra, Blanche Hunt, Lorraine Haggerty, Gladys Poitra, Helen Sunblad and Richard Poitra.

Casket Bearers are Jordan St.Germaine, Taylor St.Germaine, Payton LaFontaine, Terry Manson Jr.,Tracy Manson, and Rayne LaFontaine.  Honorary Casket Bearers are all grandchildren, great-grandChildren and all family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Rolla, ND with visitation beginning at 8:30 AM.  Father Thai Arul presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Rolla, ND.  A meal will be served in the church basement following the burial.
