Theresa M. "Resa" Davis-Rivard, age 89, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND.

Theresa M. "Resa" Davis-Rivard, (White Shell Woman), was born on May 3, 1931 in Belcourt, ND to Joseph and Caroline (Gladue) Monette.  She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well.  She furthered her education at Turtle Mountain Community College and Mayville State College (online) obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Education and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.  She was united in marriage to Joseph E. Davis on July 21, 1952 in Belcourt, ND.  Together they had six children, Joey, Steve, Gerianne, Marty, Laurie, and Jered.  Joseph preceded her in death.  Theresa worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier in Belcourt for 20 years and then as Postmaster in Rolla for 10 years before retiring in 1989.  She married Richard Rivard on July 3, 2004 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt.  Theresa enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping.  She also liked to play bingo, play cards, and to play pool.  Her personality was contagious and she loved visiting with and meeting new people.  Theresa enjoyed traveling and baking as well.  Spending time with her family members brought her so much joy, especially the little ones.  She served on the Board of Directors for TMCC for many years.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Richard Rivard of Belcourt; children, Marty Davis of Belcourt, Laurie Davis of Belcourt, and Jered Davis of Belcourt; grandchildren, Kylee (Marshall Allery) Davis of Belcourt, Lane (Leona) BirdBear of Albuquerque, Andrea Davis of Belcourt, and Joshua Monette of Grand Forks; great grandchildren, Shariah Davis, Kennedy LaFloe, Adrien Salmeron, Tyrel Davis, and Tianna Davis, all of Belcourt, and Journey and Cora BirdBear of Albuquerque; and great great grandchildren, Ayvah Azure, Adelee Azure, Matthew Azure, Karlee LaFloe, Kaylee Bercier, and Greyson Salmeron.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Davis, her children, Joseph "Joey" Davis, Steve Davis, and Gerianne Davis-BirdBear, grandson, Tyson Davis, and siblings, George, Frank, Fred "Fritz", Walter "Chub", Elmer, Ray, John, and JJ Monette, and sister, Stella "Sis" Davis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary/Eulogy Service at 10:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
