Tessie LaFromboise, age 65, of St. John, ND, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Tessie Lee LaFromboise was born to Vernon and Fay (James) Indvik on March 8, 1960.  She was the oldest of four children.  Tessie spent all of her school years attending St. John Public School.  She later met and married Martin "Max" LaFromboise on November 10, 1978.  Max and Tessie welcomed three daughters, Tasha, Tanya, and Trisha.  She spent her free time bowling, playing softball, and golfing.  Later on, when she became a grandmother, "it was her absolute favorite thing."  She loved all of her grandchildren so much, often taking them fishing and having them help her with little jobs.  She taught them so much and always gave them unconditional love, and lots of it.

Tessie worked several years at the William Langer Jewel Plant and Dosimeter Plant in Rolla, as well as, a few years working in Pierre, SD at the Indian Learning Center, in Minot at the Dakota Boys Ranch, and the Post Office in St. John.  When her father needed 24-hour care, she became his care giver.  She devoted much of her time to helping others. Her children also kept her busy at home with all of their friends visiting, most of whom referred to her as mom as well.  Family and friends were very important to Tessie as she had so much love for them all.  Tessie will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her family members and throughout the community.

Tessie is survived by her husband, Martin "Max" LaFromboise of St. John; daughters, Tasha LaFromboise of St. John, Tanya Meuhlbauer of Minot, and Trisha (Alassane) Keita of St. John; grandchildren, Tate, Kate, Keaton, Kyah, Trevin, Aisha, and Ari; sister, Tammy (Mark) DeCoteau of New Mexico; brother, Neil (Kathy) Indvik of St. John; sister-in-law's, Debbie Indvik, Kathy Indvik, and Susan Morin; son-in-law, Alassane Keita; brother-in-law's, Marlin (Donna) LaFromboise and Alvin LaFromboise; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Tessie was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Fay Indvik, grandparents, Alex and Vera James, Evelyn and Carl Indvik, and Olaf Krook, brother, Paul Indvik, and nephews, Joshua DeCoteau and Charles LaFromboise.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday September 23, 2025 at 10:00am at St. John Catholic, St John ND. Visitation Will begin at 8:00 am, Rosary service at 9:00 am prior to funeral Service.
