Terry Baker, age 68, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at his home.

Terry Ray Baker was born on February 13, 1954 in Devils Lake, ND to Cecil and Rachel (Tetrault) Baker.  He graduated high school in Portland, OR and furthered his education at Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt.  Terry was united in marriage to Kris Ann Wilkie and she preceded him in death.  He was the proud father of Raiann, Michael, Marianda, Chris, and Megan.  Terry was a public defender for the Turtle Mountain Tribe for 19 years and a prosecutor for one year.  He was a professional carpet layer and installed carpet for many years.  He was enlisted in the National Guard as well.  Terry enjoyed playing guitar and singing, traveling, playing chess, and going up in to the mountains.  He had a heart of gold and was very kind to everyone he met.  Terry will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Terry is survived by his children, Raiann Baker, Michael (Gina) Wilkie, Miranda Wilkie, Chris Wilkie, and Megan (Steve) Lesley; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Donna) Baker, Dennis Baker, and Anita Baker; nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Larry, and a grandson, Jayden.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will take place at a later date.
