Obituary

Terrance "Terry" Keplin, age 56 of Belcourt, ND passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Terrance "Terry" Gene Keplin, spirit name "Waezitate'" meaning North Wind, was born on February 5, 1967 in Belcourt, ND to Clifford Louis and Janice Marie (Thomas) Keplin.  He completed his high school education in Oregon.  Terry was the proud father of a daughter, Kira and a son, Collin, as well as a grandchild, LaMae.  He cherished the time he spent with his family members, especially his children and his grandchild as well as anxiously awaiting the arrival of another grandchild to love.  He was a true family man.  Terry enjoyed the outdoors, golfing which came naturally to him, and walking, on occasion being called to Indian Burial Grounds, which he had a gift for. He also enjoyed going to the casino, wood carving, crafts, and going fishing.  Terry will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Terry is survived by his children, Kira (Sky Schwabe) Cady of Aberdeen, SD and Collin Cady of Aberdeen, SD; grandchild, LaMae Schwabe of Aberdeen, SD; parents, Clifford and Janice Keplin of Belcourt; siblings, Curtis (Allison) Keplin of Belcourt and Betty Lou (Larry) Laducer of Belcourt; aunts and uncles, Darlene (Frank) LaQua, Jerrine (Terry) Hausken, Betty Wegehaupt, Gary (Sandy) Thomas, Harvey (Dee) Thomas, Steve (Paula) Keplin, and Don (Twiggy) Keplin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sylvia (Bercier) Thomas, Edward Thomas, and Louis and Katherine (Delorme) Keplin, aunt, Linda Trottier, uncles, Melvin Keplin and Larry Keplin, and cousin, Nick LaQua.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM and Rosary Service at 3:00 PM prior to the funeral mass.  A gathering will be held at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND following funeral services, all are welcome to attend.
