Tammy Allery, age 52, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home.

Tammy L. Allery was born on January 14, 1971 in Devils Lake, ND to Ralph Evenson and Josephine Tomahawk.  Tammy was raised in Devils Lake, Fort Totten, until she was 10 years old and moved with her father Ralph Evenson to Mayville, ND.  She attended school in Mayville, Fort Totten "4-winds," and Wahpeton Indian School "Circle of Nations." When she was younger, she enjoyed playing basketball, track, volleyball, and cheerleading.  When she turned 18, she married the love of her life, Leonard L. Allery.  In the 34 years of marriage, they raised 11 children and together they were raising some of their grandchildren.  Tammy worked various jobs, harvesting, teller in Mayville, and at the retirement home in Belcourt.  She preferred to be a stay-at-home mother and grandmother.  Tammy loved spending time with her grandchildren and her husband.  Her love at home was baking and cooking with her children and being together for family gatherings.  She loved laughing and joking around with family and friends.  She was a beautiful, strong, kind hearted, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, as well as to all who came around her. Tammy will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Leonard Allery; her children, Marybeth Allery of Bismarck, Jacob (Brittany) Allery of Belcourt, BillyJon Allery of St. John, Shane (Erin) Allery of Dunseith, Summer (Jahid) Allery of Grand Forks, Snow Allery of Grand Forks, Takota Allery of Grand Forks, Angela Allery of St. John, Braylynn Allery of Grand Forks, and Lendora (Lucas) Allery of St. John; sister, Delphine Longie; and blessed with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Donald J. (DJ) Allery and Leonard Allery Jr., daughter, Gracie Allery, sisters, Joyce Tomahawk, Cheryl Tomahawk, Janice Tomahawk, and Charlette Tomahawk, brothers, Allan Tomahawk, Billy Tomahawk, and Frank Tomahawk, sister-in-law, Angela L. Allery, and brother-in-law, Patrick L. Allery.

Eucharistic Gifts by Herb and Jackie Hall.  Drum group: Dakota Gunville. Music by the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Urn Bearers are Vernon Spottedbird and Lucas Peltier. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and Rosary Service at 10:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Father Richard Fineo presiding. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, St. John, ND.
