Sylvester DuBois, age 80, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home.

Sylvester Patrick DuBois was born on September 26, 1940 in Belcourt, ND to Joseph and Clemence (Mekwam) DuBois.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  He was united in marriage to Shirlee Sarkilahti in 1966 and together they had a son, Clayton.  They later divorced.  Sylvester worked for Randy Neameyer at the junk yard shop for many years.  He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.  Sylvester will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Sylvester is survived by his son, Clayton (Cyndi Deschamp) DuBois of Belcourt; brother, Vinnie DuBois of Minneapolis, MN; and thirteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Clemence DuBois and sister, Delima DuBois.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the church.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
