Stephanie Houle, age 54, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Stephanie Marie Houle was born on August 31,1966 in Belcourt, ND to Mary Louise (Azure) and Robert Houle. She attended Ojibwa Indian School and Turtle Mountain Community High School graduating in 1985. She attended Turtle Mountain Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree.

Stephanie enjoyed spending time with family & friends, beading, sewing, crafting, baking, and decorating for every holiday. In the past few years, the highlight of her days consisted of spending them with Wyatt (her great-nephew), he was her pride and joy and spoke of him to everyone that would listen- for hours on end! She loved to visit- so if she called you- be prepared to talk for at least an hour! She loved all of her nieces and nephews unconditionally and was always willing to help them. Stephanie was a kind-hearted person who would help anyone that asked- even if it meant that she had to go without. She had a great sense of humor and her descriptive choice of words for every conversation will always be remembered.

She is survived by her son, Jordan (Mindy) Houle; grandson, Jameson Malaterre; companion, Adrian Malaterre Jr.; and sister, Joan Azure; nieces and nephews, Anthony (Cyndee) Azure, Rod (Trish) DeCoteau, Richanda (Cyle) DeCoteau, Regina (Lionel) Swain, Daniel DeCoteau, Nathan Allery, Reeanne (Ridge) Parisien, Eric(Janelle) Houle, Steve(Aimee) Houle, Jessica Furhman, Jacob Charette, Deniah (Austin) DeCoteau, Aubrey DeCoteau, Eric Houle Jr., Wyatt Houle,  McKenna, Madison, Karter Poitra, & Parker Parisien; step children, Peter Lavallie and Shelby Lavallie.

God Parents are Melvin Azure & Beverly SanGrait.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jeri Azure-Allery, brother, Steve Houle Sr., and nephew, Greyson Parisien.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 9:30 AM.  Burial will follow services at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
