Sharon LaFountain, age 69, of Rolette, ND passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Sharon Ann "Chi-Girl" LaFountain, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Champagne) LaFountain, was born on June 21, 1955.  She was raised in Belcourt, ND and graduated from Turtle Mountain Community High School in 1972.  She later attended college at UND and MSU Bottineau.

Many of you knew her by "Chi-Girl" but not many called her by her real name, Sharon, who was the loving mother of four children, Joseph (Kelly), Vanessa, Keith, and Dorothy (Loren) Henry.

Sharon was a single mother, who loved to cook and feed everyone.  She always made sure her home was welcoming to the many guests that stopped by her home. She loved to play dice, puzzles, and Yahtzee with friends and family, the Queen of Dice!

Sharon was always a humble, loving woman who was grateful for everything she had in life, which is the reason why so many people loved her dearly.

Sharon is survived by her children, Joseph, Vanessa, and Dorothy; siblings, Florene, Ramona and Sheila LaFountain; 13 grandchildren, Dallas Davis, Stacy Davis Jr., Kyhana Henry, Keisha Sims, Dayton LaFountain, Ty LaFountain, Avery LaFountain, Ziah Henry, Zaniyan Henry, Zoey Weasel, Zebedee Weasel, Kruze LaFountain, and Fallon LaFountain; four great grandchildren, Eden, Reigny, Russell, and Ivery (Chi-babie); and Godchildren, Clarence Davis and Mona (LaFountain) Davis.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary (Champagne) LaFountain, child, Keith LaFountain, siblings, George, James, Johnny, Alfred, Gerald, and Benedict LaFountain, Theresa Tetrault, Marlene Tetrault, Virginia LaFountain, Laura Nester, Rita LaFountain, and Dorothy Davis, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will take place at a later date in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
