Shareen K. Parisien, age 76, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully at home on April 6th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Shareen was born on July 22nd, 1948, in Bottineau, ND to Arnt and LouElla (Sivertson) Kleven. She was raised on a farm East of Lake Metigoshe and attended grade school at the "One Room School House." She graduated from Bottineau High School in 1966 and continued her education at St. Andrew's School of Nursing, graduating in 1969. Shareen was united in marriage to Raymond G. Parisien on April 27th, 1973, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Belcourt, ND. She was the proud mother of five boys: Jason, Ray Jr., Tyson, Jock, and Julian. Shareen started her nursing career at Presentation Medical Center in 1969. She then worked for 37 years as a Registered Nurse at Belcourt Hospital. One of her proudest moments was being adopted as an honorary member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in 2010. After retirement from Belcourt Hospital, she began new endeavors at Turtle Mountain HeadStart as a school nurse, officially retiring from nursing in 2020.

Shareen enjoyed spending time with her sons, but, most importantly, with her grandchildren whom she made many memories with on their summer vacations. Her grandchildren were her world. She also enjoyed taking care of her patients, caring for each and every one of them like they were family. Shareen valued her coworkers and considered them her best friends. In her spare time, Shareen enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, scrapbooking, ironing, and cleaning. She was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to watching her children and grandchildren. She was also a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan. Her faith in God was very strong and she prayed the rosary nightly. Shareen loved spending time with her loving husband, supporting him in every possible way. Ray was her everything. She loved having her family near her, as it gave her great peace. She touched the lives of so many and will be forever missed.

Shareen is survived by her loving husband, Ray Parisien of Belcourt; sons, Jason, Ray Jr. (Darian), Tyson, Jock, and Julian; grandchildren, Amber, Tayla, Julian, Jerzey, Justice, Madden, Rebecka, Axel, Lane, and KyRissa; great grandchild Jaxston; siblings, Dennis Kleven of Lake Metigoshe, Gary (Linda) Kleven of O'Fallon, MO, Susan (Don) Ebach of McClusky, ND, and special sister Rosemarie (Jim) Parisien of Belcourt, ND; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Shareen was preceded in death by her parents, Arnt and LouElla (Sivertson) Kleven.

Casket Bearers are Troy Parisien, Erik Abbey, Steve Keplin Sr., Chance Wilkie, Pete Marcellais, and Jacob Azure.  Honorary Bearers are Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Hospital staff, Turtle Mountain Head Start staff, and all grandchildren and her great grandchild.  Music by Joe Parisien, Patrick "Terry" Baker, Ryan Keplin, and friends. Readers are Dr. Samantha Gourd and Ashley Parisien. Eucharistic Gifts by Roxie Gayton, Marcella Marcellais, and Loretta Marcellais. Pall placed by Jason, Ray Jr., Tyson, and Jock. Rosary led by Jim and Rosemarie Parisien. Luncheon coordinated by Peggy Davis and friends. Eulogy by Marilyn Delorme.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2025 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Father Jeff Eppler, Father Richard Fineo, Father Samuel Medley, and Father Fred Alexander presiding.  Burial will take place at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring. A meal will follow funeral services at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.
