Sarah Marie
Malaterre
Apr 12, 1990 — Nov 28, 2020
Sarah Malaterre, age 30, of Minot, ND formerly of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.
Sarah Marie Malaterre was born on April 12, 1990 in Belcourt, ND to Rebecca Malaterre. She was raised by Elizabeth LaVallie in the Starkweather and Devils Lake area, where she completed her education. Sarah was the proud mother of four children, Ethan, Malachi, Pryce, and Bailee. She loved time spent with her children and her companion, Tony Cree. Her career choice was serving, which she was very good at and flowed into all other aspects of her life. Sarah was an extremely giving person and never hesitated to help others. She was an independent, supportive, and compassionate person. Sarah was also an amazing mother and the best friend anyone could ask for who wore her heart on her sleeve. Her sense of humor was contagious, her laugh unforgettable, and her smile bright. She used to enjoy fishing and was pretty good at it as well. Sarah loved playing board games, was a huge Seahawks fan, hardly ever missing a game, and of course her favorite color was Seahawks green. She was very open minded and was always willing to try new things or different kinds of food. Her forgiving spirit was evident as she could never stay mad for long periods of time. Sarah will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family members and many friends.
Sarah is survived by her companion, Tony Cree of Minot; children, Ethan, Malachi, Pryce, and Bailee Cree, all of Minot; mother, Rebecca "Becky" Malaterre of Minot; and siblings, Candace Gourneau, Christa Longie, and Chris Longie.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Memorial Mass will be on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service and Eulogy at 9:00 AM. Father Michael Slovak presiding.
Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND.
