Sandra Houle, age 60, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in St. John, ND.

Sandra Rose Houle was born on November 13, 1959 in Belcourt, ND to Sam Ferris and Ida Swain.  She was loving raised by her mother and Oscar Houle.  Sandra was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well.  She furthered her education at college as well.  Sandra was united in marriage to Edward Hole on October 9, 1978 in Bottineau, ND.  Together they had three children, Corbet, Eric, and Lane.  Sandra worked as a teacher throughout the years teaching language and specifically the Mitchif Language to many in schools, college, and privately throughout the area.  She was currently working with others on a book to teach the language.  Sandra enjoyed listening to "old time" music, beading, sewing, and guitar.  She loved time spent with her family members, especially her grandchildren, and time with her friends.  Sandra will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Sandra is survived by her children, Corbet Houle of Minneapolis, MN, Eric Houle of Belcourt, and Lane (Josh) Houle-Allery of Belcourt; and three grandchildren, Kayden Houle, Trenton Houle, and Charleigh Houle.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward "Chizsa" Houle, brother, Clifford "Guff" Houle, and sister, Alice Hose.

A Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Jim Mulligan presiding.  Burial will take place at a later date in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  A meal will follow funeral services at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.
