Rylee Joseph
Morin
Apr 9, 2007 — Jun 28, 2026
Rylee Morin, age 19, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.
Rylee Joseph Morin was born on April 9, 2007, in Belcourt, North Dakota, to his loving parents, Richard and Georgia (Champagne) Morin. From the very beginning, Rylee brought joy into the lives of those around him. He was raised in Belcourt, surrounded by the love of his family, friends, and community. He attended school there and proudly graduated from Turtle Mountain Community High School with the Class of 2025—a milestone that filled his family with pride.
After graduation, Rylee was excited to begin his career working on the oil rigs, ready to build a future through hard work and determination. His parents were so proud as they watched him grow into a strong, capable young man with goals, ambition, and a heart full of promise. He was becoming the man he was meant to be. If you knew Rylee, you knew he never liked to sit still. He always had something to work on, something to fix, or another adventure waiting just around the corner. Whether he was lending a hand, spending time out riding, or making memories with the people he loved, he lived life with energy and purpose.
Family meant everything to Rylee. He treasured every moment spent with his parents, his brothers, grandparents, cousins, aunties, uncles, and special group friends. The bonds he shared with those closest to him were built on love, loyalty, laughter, and respect. If someone needed help, Rylee was already there before they even had to ask. He gave freely without expecting anything in return because helping others simply came naturally to him. When someone was struggling, Rylee knew how to lift their spirits with his smile, his jokes, and his contagious laugh. He carried a light within him that made others feel a little brighter just by being near him. Many will forever remember his curly hair, his bright smile, and the happiness he carried wherever he went.
Rylee is lovingly survived by his parents, Richard and Georgia Morin; his brothers, Ross "The Boss" Morin, Coy (Erin) Garrison; his grandparents, George Champagne and Sharon Allery; Great grandmother, Margaret Champagne; his godmother, Kelly Barron; niece, Lyne; nephews, Kip and Sonny; his aunties, uncles, cousins; his godchildren, Josiah, Chalin, Ireland and Natonie; his close friends, and so many others who loved him dearly.
He was welcomed home by his beloved brothers, Richard "RJ" and Gabriel; and sister Bailie Morin; his grandparents, John (Jams) and Linda Morin; his godfather, Jeffery (Bart) Morin; his uncle, Joseph Champagne; his great-grandparents; and all his loved ones who had gone before him.
