Obituary

Ryan Wallette, age 30, of Tacoma, Washington, formerly of Dunseith, ND passed away on September 4, 2020 at his home.

Ryan Wallette was born on January 28, 1990 in Minnesota to Tami Wallette of Dunseith, ND.  He attended and graduated high school in Flandreau, SD.  After high school, Ryan attended college at Turtle Mountain Community College.  He then joined the United States Army in August of 2009 until 2013, receiving an honorable discharge.  Ryan was a MMA fighter and was currently working for Eco-Pan Inc. in Tacoma, WA, driving truck.  He enjoyed playing basketball, running, going to the gun range, being at the lake, and being around his friends and his family.  He was a die-hard Vikings fan and the world's greatest uncle and brother.  Ryan could always make anyone laugh.  There was never a dull moment when he was around.  He will be great missed and forever loved by his family members and many friends.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Tami Wallette of Dunseith; brother, Nathan Wallette, Seth DeCoteau, Jace Marion, Philip Thomas Jr., Sam Thomas, and Jake Thomas; and many uncles, aunties, counsin, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Stella Martinez-Thomas.

Casket Bearers are Jordan DeCoteau, Mitch Laducer, Nick Gladue, Dylan Nygaard, Seth DeCoteau, Jarrett DeCoteau, Eli Forrest Corbine, and Christopher Harrison.  Special music by Michael Selburg and Velda Belgarde.  Military Honors by the Lilley-Dionne American Legion of Belcourt, ND.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all for supporting them during this difficult time.

A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center, Log Cabin, Dunseith, ND.  Funeral Services will be Wednesady, September 16, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Log Cabin, Dunseith, ND.  Father Richard Fineo presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Sylvan's Cemetery, Dunseith, ND.
