Ronald "Ron" Keplin, age 72, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.

Ronald "Ron" Joseph Keplin was born on March 28, 1951 in Williston, ND to Sylvester and Matilda (Snyder) Keplin.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Ron furthered his education at college obtaining an associates degree.  He was united in marriage to Lillian Lajimodiere and together they had three children, Ronald Jr., Emery, and Isaiah.  Ron loved basketball!  He played and coached basketball at the Turtle Mountain Elementary School and Turtle Mountain High School for over 20 years, as well as being a para interacting with children daily.  Ron loved not only his family but his school families as well.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his children, Ronald Keplin Jr. of Bismarck and Emery (Terri) Keplin of Cleveland, OH; four grandchildren, Aaron Keplin of MT, Memphis Keplin of AZ, Kelsey Keplin of Belcourt, and Rachelle Keplin of Belcourt; siblings, Raymond Keplin of Belcourt, Leonard (Denise) Keplin of Belcourt, Sheila Overvold of Minneapolis, MN, Ervin (Natalie) Keplin of Fargo, Eugene Keplin of Belcourt, Shelly (Kenny) Azure of Belcourt, and Brenda Greenwood of Rolla; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Matilda Keplin, son, Isaiah Keplin, sister, Shirley Barron, and brother, Kenny Kepin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
