Ronald Houle, age 73, of Rolette, ND passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Ronald "Ronnie" Peter Houle was born on July 10, 1947 in Bottineau, ND to Francis and Nora (Frederick) Houle.  He grew up in Belcourt and then lived in California for many years before returning to Belcourt in 2004.  Ronald worked as a mechanic for many years and was well known for helping anyone in need and taking care of many.  He was the proud father of seven children, Robert, Shelley, Nora, Jane, Sylvia, April, and Mark.  Ronald loved time spent with his family members, especially his children, whom he loved dearly and was always there to take care of.  He enjoyed tinkering with old vehicles and watching Nascar.  Ronald had a wonderful sense of humor, always having a good time and bring smiles to those around him.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and friends.

Ronald is survived by his children, Robert Sastini of Palm Springs, CA, Shelley Younger of Sacramento, CA, Nora Houle of Petrolia, CA, Sylvia Houle of Belcourt, April Howard of Belcourt, and Mark Howard of Rolette; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Houle of San Francisco, CA; uncle, Raymond Houle of Dunseith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Nora Houle, daughter, Jane Houle, brother, Randy Houle, and sisters, Sharon Houle and Beverly Houle.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM.  A Private Family Funeral Service will be held followed by a burial at a later date.
