Roger Parisien Sr., age 68, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Roger Vincent Parisien Sr. was born on December 12, 1953 in Belcourt, ND to Francis Parisien and Annabelle (Dussome) Parisien.  He was raised in Belcourt and attended Wahpeton Indian School and Flandreau Indian School, graduating in 1970. He furthered his education at Colonial Arts College, graduating in 1971.  Roger was the father of three children, Roger Jr., Richard, and Robin.  He was a wonderful musician and was able to play every instrument available to him.  Roger played music in many different bands using his musical talents for all.  He loved time spent with his family members and friends.  Roger also liked cooking and going fishing on occasion.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Roger Sr. is survived by his children, Roger Parisien Jr. of Bismarck, Richard Parisien of Bismarck, and Robin Parisien of Belcourt; many grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, James Parisien, Theresa Brunelle, Sharon Parisien, Viola Chase, and Raymond Parisien; and many nieces and nephews.

Roger Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Nicole Parisien, and brothers, Francis Jr., Dave, and Roy Parisien.

Honorary Bearers are Roger Parisien Jr., Richard Parisien, Clinton Brunelle, Allen Brunelle, James Parisien Jr., and Zach Brunelle.  Music by Lambert Azure.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM.  Rosary led by Sharon Parisien and Viola Chase.  Father Michael Slovak presiding.
