Roger Belgarde, age 77, of Rolla, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND.

Roger August "Swede" Belgarde was born on September 21, 1943 in Belcourt, ND to August and Rosella (Langan) Belgarde.  He was raised in St. John and completed his education there as well.  Roger furthered his education at Bottineau Community College.  He was united in marriage to Jeanette Azure on July 29, 1965.  He was the proud father of three children, Roger, Craig, and Teri.  Roger worked in retail throughout the years.  He operated a tobacco shop in Bemidji, MN, was a manager at Red Owl, and worked in excavating and manufacturing as well before retiring in 2014 and moving back to the area.  Roger enjoyed fishing and hunting, woodworking, watching WWE wrestling and sports, including football and basketball, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He cherished time spent with his family members and many friends.  Roger will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Roger is survived by his children, Roger (Tracy) of Herman, NE, Craig (Dawn) of Raytown, MO, and Teri (Fred) Roy of St. John; five grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Emily, Anthony, and Elizabeth; a great grandchild; and siblings, Eugene "Dolly" Belgarde and Cherie Keegan.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers, and two sisters.

Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND.  Father Richard Fineo presiding.  Burial will take place in the St. John City Cemetery, St. John, ND.
