Roberta Azure, age 71, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home.

Roberta Marie (Ducept) Azure was born on January 29, 1951 in Belcourt, ND to Robert and Lillian (Trottier) Ducept.  She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School in 1969.  She furthered her education at UND and completed her Elementary Education Degree at Mayville State University.  Roberta was united in marriage to Leonard Azure on June 3, 1972 in Belcourt.  Together they raised seven children, Robert, Gilbert, Howard, Nathan, Brady, Brandie, and Dusty.  Roberta worked at the Turtle Mountain Community Elementary School in Belcourt for 35 years and achieved her lifetime teaching certificate.  Roberta loved sitting on her front porch, observing nature and taking in all of its beauty.  She also looked forward to planting flowers every spring and taking care of them through the summer months with her daughter, Brandie. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family members and many friends.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Leonard Azure of Belcourt; children, Robert (Heather) Azure of West Fargo, Gilbert (Amy) Falcon of Belcourt, Howard Azure of Beulah, Nathan (Krysten) Azure of Belcourt, Brady (Farrah) Azure of Belcourt, Brandie Azure of Belcourt, and Dusty Azure of Belcourt; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Barbara Bruce.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lillian Ducept.
