Rita Carrington, age 80, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at her home.

Rita B. Carrington was born on March 9, 1939 in Belcourt, ND to John C. and Delima (Allery) Laducer. She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well. Rita was united in marriage to Charles Carrington Sr. on January 25, 1966 in Belcourt. Together they had seven children, Brenda, Charlotte, Jeanita, Delima, Charles, Ruth, and Michael. Rita worked for the Rolla Hospital for many years in housekeeping. She loved entertaining family and friends, as she loved to have people over to visit often, especially her grandchildren. Rita liked playing cards, watching television game shows, and was learning to internet shop which she greatly enjoyed. Rita will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rita is survived by her partner of 31 years, Michael "Chub" Roy; children, Charlotte Grant of Grand Forks, Jeanita (Richard) Brakebill of Rolla, Delima Carrington of Belcourt, Charles Carrington Jr. of Fargo, Ruth Carrington of Belcourt, and Michael (Rebecca) Carrington of Fargo; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and siblings, Patrick Lawrence of Rolla, Mary Lenoir of Bismarck, and Arlene Smith of Elbow Lake, MN.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Delima Laducer, her husband, Charles Carrington Sr. on November 8, 1977, daughter, Brenda Laducer, two sisters, three brothers, and a great granddaughter.

Casket Bearers are grandsons, Terry Payer Jr., Troy Payer, Bailey Carrington, Nicholas Davis, Cole Davis, and Mike Carrington Jr. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends, great grandsons, nephews, and close friends. Music by Ed Johnson family and John LaFournaise.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Tony Hession presiding. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
