Ricky Parisien Sr., age 56, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Richard Lawrence "Ricky" Parisien Sr. was born on July 26, 1963 in Belcourt, ND to Raymond (Primis) Parisien and Caroline (Bruce) Parisien. He was raised in the Belcourt and Dunseith area and attended the Dunseith High School. He obtained his GED in1984. He furthered his education at a vocational college in East Grand Forks, MN for automotive mechanics. Ricky was married to Cheryl (Page) Houle and together they had two children, Shanna and Richard Jr. "Buck". They later divorced. He then met Claire Murphy and were together for 28 years. They had five children, Ridge, Ryder, Colter, Walker, and Rikki Lynn.

Ricky enjoyed working on his projects with his sons. They worked on cars and fixing and working on anything with their hands. He loved Elvis, time spent with his family and friends. Ricky especially loved his grandbabies, his hair, playing guitar and singing. Ricky was also always doing something for someone. He was always there, whether it be a place to stay, if you needed something to eat or fixed, work done on a car, or needed a pull out of the ditch. Ricky was a life source donor. Ricky will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.

Ricky is survived by his children, Shanna (Billy) Stroh of Grafton, Richard Jr. "Buck" (Nikki) of Langdon, Ridge (Reanne) of Belcourt, Ryder (Sheyanna) of Rolla, Colter (Taylor) of Belcourt, Walker Parisien of Belcourt, and Rikki Lynn Parisien of Belcourt; 19 grandchildren, Stella, Devon, Jack, Steven, Carter, Titan, Zayden, Liliana, Kingston, Cayleigh, Amayah, Parker, Autumn, Ezrah, Rowan, Taytum, McCoy, Camdyn, and unborn granddaughter Kaydence; brother, Linus (Lynelle) Parisien of Belcourt; Godchild, Kristin Bruce; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Raymond (Primis) Parisien and Carolyn (Bruce) Parisien, grandson, Greyson Parisien, brother, Raymond Jr, and sisters, Anna Champagne, Lorraine Parisien, and Sherry Parisien.

Casket Bearers are Bryant Champagne Jr., Terry Gourneau Jr., Jessie Stewart, Jordan Parisien, Peter Falcon, Jonathan Laducer, Honorary pallbearers Richard Nadeau, Lenny Carlson, CJ Decoteau, Harvey Parisien, Stuart Medrud.

A Visitation will take place at Elick Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Dunseith, ND.  A burial will follow in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  Social Distancing guidelines will be enforced throughout the services times/places listed above to keep our community safe.
