Ricky Belgarde Sr., age 55, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Ricky Wayne Belgarde Sr. was born on October 15, 1964 in Belcourt, ND to Patrick Sr. and Darlene (Meyer) Belgarde.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well. H enlisted in the Armed Services for a short time and received an honorable discharge. Ricky was united in marriage to Cora Leigh Engwis in 1986 in Minot, ND. Together they had four children, Sharon, Kenneth, Patrice, and Ricky Jr.  They later divorced.  Ricky was self employed for many years in a lawn and trimming business "Belgarde Pruning."  He loved to debate with the tribal council in Belcourt and visiting with family and friends.  His favorite companions were his dogs, Elvis and Bobo.  Ricky will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Ricky is survived by his children, Sharon Gilmore of Washington, Kenneth (Angie) Belgarde of Minot, Patrice Belgarde of Washington, and Ricky Belgarde Jr. of Washington; two grandchildren, Mallina and Teneyaha, his pride and joys; siblings, Daniel Belgarde of Minot, Ann Brown of Pasadena, CA, Vickie Belgarde of Belcourt, Diana LaFrombois of Belcourt, and Sherie (Randy) Zupan of Belcourt; sister-in-law, Loretta Belgarde of Belcourt; best friend, Pat "Tummer" Blue of Belcourt; nieces, Mandy, Kristi, Shanell, Nikki, Lea, Brittany, and Jessica and nephews, Chad, Steven, Shylow, Dustin, and Kyle; and many great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Sr. and Darlene Belgarde, sister, Lucy, brothers, Steven and Patrick Jr., brother-in-law, Leo LaFrombois, and grandparents, Frank and Rose Belgarde and Elsina Rose Gunville-Belgarde, Alex Meyer, and Viola Post Meyer.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 5:00 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  Father Jim Mulligan presiding.
