Richard LaVallie Jr., age 30, of Mandan, ND passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his home.

Richard Jay "Da Man" LaVallie Jr. was born on September 21, 1992 in Belcourt, ND to Richard LaVallie Sr. and Sherry Crissler.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his schooling in Mandan, where he has resided since moving from Belcourt.  Richard was the proud father of five children, Lexzavier, Hayden, Rider, Demiyah, and Anniyah.  He worked construction for Jeanotte Construction.  Richard loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his children.  He liked working on cars and playing guitar.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Richard is survived by his children, Lexzavier Lunday, Hayden LaVallie, Rider LaVallie, Demiyah LaVallie, and Anniyah LaVallie; parents, Richard LaVallie Sr and Sherry Crissler; siblings, Jessica Charbonneau, Kavin LaVallie, and Lynelle Charbonneau.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and aunties.

Casket Bearers are Frank Patnaude, Marcus Davis, Sheldon Stinbak, Marcus St. Claire, Bobby LaVallie, and Rudy Golius.  Honorary Bearers are Richard LaVallie Sr., Alex Bercier, and Kavin LaVallie.

Visitation and Funeral Services will begin at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND and continue to Friday, March 31, 2023 at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will be in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
