Richard "Ricky" LaVallie, age 60, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 in Grand Forks, ND.

Richard LaVallie was born on October 26, 1965 in Pocatello, Idaho to Richard Jerome and Margaret LaVallie. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Richard worked in the potato fields and for the casino in Devils Lake for a short time. He enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands.  Richard liked horses and broke them for others.  He loved going to the casino and spending time with family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and missed.

Richard is survived by his siblings, LeRoy LaVallie of Belcourt, Joanann Jerome of Belcourt, Patrick (Valerie) LaVallie of Belcourt, and Jeffery LaVallie of Grand Forks; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and aunts and uncles.
