Raymond Lawrence Parisien, age 62, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility, Belcourt, ND.

Raymond Lawrence Parisien was born on December 18, 1960 in Belcourt, ND to Francis and Annabelle (Dussone) Parisien. He was raised in Belcourt until the age of 5, where he then attended Wahpeton Indian Boarding School and completing his high school education. Raymond returned back to Belcourt, ND, where he then later met Lori Ann Poitra in 1978. Both Raymond and Lori married in 1980. Together they had three children; Jessica, Rae Lynn, and Cyrus. Later divorcing in 1984. He then went on in life marrying Marlys Allery in 1995 and had two stepchildren; Frieda and Robert (Robbie). Raymond worked various jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, horseback riding, Pow-wows and picnics with his family and friends. Prior to Raymond's death, he was located at the Dunseith nursing home where he enjoyed playing bingo with his friends. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family, and many friends.

Raymond is survived by his daughter Jessica L. Parisien of Grand Forks, ND, three grandchildren Elijah, Tanner, Brendan and great-grand-daughter Violet; daughter Rae Lynn (Parisien) Dunham of Moorhead, MN, five grandchildren, Dana, Anthony, Akeisha, Jaden and Anessa; grandchild Cyrus Jr.; siblings, James Parisien, Sharon Parisien, Viola Chase, and Theresa Brunelle; along with many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Annabelle, son Cyrus, and brothers Francis, David, Roger and Roy.

A visitation will begin at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with Father Michael Slovak presiding.  Burial will follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
