Raymond Belgarde, age 80, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at St. Andrew's Hospital, Bottineau, ND.

Raymond Francis Belgarde was born on December 24, 1942 in Grand Forks, ND to John and Gladys (Nikle) Belgarde.  He was raised for a short time in Grand Forks and Bottineau, and then remained in the Dunseith area.  Raymond worked many jobs as a laborer throughout his life.  He was the proud father of a daughter, Desa.  Raymond enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting.  He liked dancing, the jig and break dancing on occasion, and playing the guitar.  Raymond will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.

Raymond is survived by his companion of over 30 years, Tamera Boyer of Bottineau; daughter, Desa (Raynold) Houle of Dunseith; three grandchildren, Sierra, Emily, and Hank; siblings, Clarence (Sue) Belgarde of Belcourt, Dennis Belgarde of St. John, Ann (Clarence) Schroeder of St. John, Marie (Jesse) Kios of San Antonio, TX; and nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys Belgarde and brothers, Richard and Joseph Belgarde.

Casket Bearers are Clarence Schroeder, Andrew Schroeder, Joe Belgarde, Raynold Houle, Raymond Houle Jr., Charles Delorme, and Keith Gourneau.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring.  Father Michael Slovak presiding.
