Raven Grandbois, age 36, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 in Belcourt, ND.

Raven Danelle Grandbois was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She entered the Spirit World on June 13, 2022.  Raven was born on February 5, 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona to Virgil Laducer and Erin Farmer.  She was then raised by her grandmother in Phoenix, AZ, and later by Rodney and Barbara Poitra in Belcourt, ND.  She graduated high school from Turtle Mountain Community High School and furthered her education at the Turtle Mountain Community College.  Raven was always a hard worker and dedicated employee.  She worked at Dollar General (Rolla) as a District Manager and then at the Little Shell Youth Shelter (Belcourt) where she cared for and watched over children.  Raven was great with kids and it showed through the love her children, nieces, and nephews had for her.  She had patience like no other.

Raven was the proud mother of seven children: Ariah, Alyssa, Orion, Kyle, Colton, Lucas, and Kaylynn.  She was united in marriage to David Grandbois on June 21, 2014 in Bottineau, ND.  Raven enjoyed reading, art, gardening, taking care of her pets, and spending time with family and friends.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.

Raven is survived by her husband, David Grandbois of Belcourt; children, Ariah Laducer, Orion Grandbois, both of Belcourt, Kyle Burge, Colton Grandbois, Kaylynn Patrick, and Lucas Patrick, all of Indiana; mother, Barbara Poitra of Belcourt; siblings, Angel (Jon) Poitra-Keplin of Belcourt, April (Jamie) Walker, Marcy (Paul) Koppelman, Arion (Rachel) Poitra, all of Fargo, Tammy McBride, Tanya Nerpel, Kayla (Ronald) Houle, Shanda (Travis) Poitra, all of Belcourt, Shonda (Jacob) Poitra of Bemidji, MN, Jaelyn Cree of Bismarck, Genna LaRocque of Fargo, Nickolas Laducer, Angel Morse, both of Arizona, Robin (Robert) Malaterre of Grand Forks, Virgil Ironstand of Canada, and CJ Poitra of Air Force; and many nieces and nephews.

Raven was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Poitra, daughter, Alyssa Laducer, and nephew, Kaylob Houle.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin), Dunseith, ND at 5:00 PM.
