Randall "Randy" Neameyer, age 71, of St. John, ND passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND surrounded by his loving family.

Randall "Randy" Mitchell Neameyer was born on August 29, 1952 in Rolla, ND to Raymond and Marilyn (Mitchell) Neameyer.  He was raised in Rolla and completed his education at Rolla High School, graduating in 1971.  Randy furthered his education at Wahpeton State College for one year with a welding certificate and did some boxing while there.  Following high school, he moved to Seattle, Washington and worked for Boeing for two years.  He was united in marriage to Susan "Jessie" Mathiason on May 26, 1979 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rolla.  Together they raised two children, Kelsey and Payton. Randy owned and operated Neameyer Auto and Scrap for over 40 years in Rolla until retiring.  Randy loved all that lake life had to offer, particularly slalom and barefoot skiing for himself, and giving the wildest tube rides to others. Family was the most important part of his life, and he was a devoted, loving husband and father and cherished his wife and children deeply. He was avidly supportive of Jessie's pursuits and always expressed how proud he was, whether it was her furthering her education, singing, or her countless other endeavors. He could also be quite the romantic, often treating Jessie to full dinner services on the pontoon, dozens of roses at a time, and even surprising her with a renewal of vows. You could often find Randy visiting family and friends, notably in difficult times, and he was always willing to give a helping hand to his neighbors. His faith and his family carried him through both happy and trying times, recently telling them, "I was scared but my girls made me brave!"  Randy will be forever remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Randy is survived by his wife, Jessie Neameyer of St. John; daughters, Kelsey Neameyer of St. John and Payton Hoover of St. John; siblings, Dennis (Donna) Neameyer of Rolla, Donna (Chuck) Howard of Denver, CO, Beverly Neameyer of Rolla, and Tom (Michelle Aune) Neameyer of Fargo, and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marilyn Neameyer, nephew, Michael Neameyer, and father and mother-in-law, Lars and Ivy Mathiason.

Casket Bearers are all nieces, nephews, and children, Payton and Kelsey.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends. Music by Barb Garceau and the St. John Ecumenical Choir.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND.  Father Richard Fineo presiding.  Burial will follow the funeral mass at Mill Lake Cemetery, St. John, ND.
