Raiann Baker, age 40, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at her home.

Raiann Teneal Baker was born on August 18, 1982 in Portland, Oregon at the Emanual Hospital to Terry Baker and Brenda (Darrell (stubby) Poitra) Martin- Poitra.  She was raised in Portland and completed her high school education there as well, furthering her education for a number of years at Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt.  Raiann was the proud mother of five children, Brehannah, Seth, Brandi Lee, Rachel Terry Rai, and Deacon Jr. She enjoyed singing along with her father Terry when he would play music. She loved time spent with her family and friends. Her children were very close to her heart. She was a great person to laugh with and talk to, would always to go be there for people when she could. She was unique and always loved being the center of attention when she walked in a room.  Raiann will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family members and friends.

Raiann is survived by her children, Brehannah Baker, Seth Baker, Brandi Lee Baker, Rachel Terry Rai Wallette, and Deacon Wallette Jr.; mother, Brenda; and siblings, Brandon Poitra and Darrell Poitra Jr., aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Godmother, and her grandparents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow services at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
