Peter Lawrence
Machipiness-Longie
Dec 10, 1999 — Mar 26, 2024
Peter Machipiness-Longie, age 24, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.
Peter Lawrence Machipiness-Longie was born on December 10, 1999 in Belcourt, ND to Robert Sr. and Lynelle (Longie) Hunt. He was raised in Belcourt, ND and graduated from St. John High School in 2018. Peter furthered his education at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks for one year. He worked as a bartender at Cheap Shotz in Dunseith. Peter had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very loving and respectful person, always there for family or friends in need. His character spoke volumes. Peter enjoyed the outdoors, taking drives observing nature, going to concerts and dancing with friends, especially country and swing dancing. He liked gambling on occasion, cooking and eating unique cultural dishes, and watching movies, his favorite series: "Greys Anatomy."
He mostly enjoyed traveling, he traveled to Krakow, Poland for World Youth Day July 2016 only feet away from the Pope, he traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida and seen Disney World with his family in February 2015, New York City and Niagra Falls, NY in June 2015, made a special trip to San Antonio, Texas with his mom in April 2016, traveled to Phoenix, Arizona with his family in 2019, he also traveled to Los Angeles, California with his best friend Kaitlyn Hajicek in September 2022, he went with Kaitlyn Hajicek to Las Vegas, Nevada in September 2022 then again in February 2023 with another best friend Megan Bercier. Prior to his passing he told his dad that they would go back to Florida and wear speedo's on the beach for a walk, we all laughed, his dad told him I will drive you there but you won't catch me in one of those, so you'll be the only to wear one (again trying to make us cheerful with his sense of humor). Towards the end of his time with us our saying as a family, we will live life to the fullest ♥️
Peter was loved deeply by his family and he loved spending time with them, especially his mom, dad, and baby sister. He loved making his niece and nephews happy by ensuring he had treats for them giving them hugs and kisses. His smile, laughter and the saying "Ayeeee" would light up a room. Peter had profound love, faith and trust in God, Jesus and Mary. Growing up as a young child, Peter spent lots of time with his 3 best friends, Auntie Phil, Auntie Marlys, and Auntie Dorothy along with his 2nd mom Grandma Alice, he was proud and happy of his best friends, he would always say my old ladies are my best friends. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
