Patrick DeCoteau, age 63, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility, Belcourt, ND.

Patrick Lee DeCoteau was born on August 21, 1958 in Belcourt, ND to Frank Charette and Mary Ann DeCoteau. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School. Patrick furthered his education at college, attending the Police Academy in Bismarck and New Mexico and obtaining his welding certificate.  He worked as a security guard to Indian Health Services for many years.  Patrick enjoyed playing guitar and singing, and collecting guitars, guns, and cars, as well as many other things.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, always joking with family members and friends, and especially his co-workers.  Patrick was a member of the gun club in Rolla.  He loved time spent with his family members and his friends.  Patrick will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Patrick is survived by his daughters, Kristal Hamilton of Minot and Micheala Hamilton of Valley City; mother, Mary Ann (Lyle) Prouty; siblings, Jug, Willie, Patsy, Alfred, and Randy; and nieces and nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by is father, Frank Charette, brother, Marty, and grandpa and grandma DeCoteau.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church, Rolla, ND.  Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  Dave Schnackenberg officiating.
