Patricia Eller, age 87, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.

Patricia A. (Dumont) Eller was born on March 17, 1937 in Belcourt to Mildred Dumont. She was raised in Rolette and attended and graduated from Stephan, S.D boarding school.  She married Burton Trottier and together they had five children, Valeri, Dale, Cindy, Glenda and Neil. Their marriage later ended in divorce. Patricia worked as a CHR and Home Liaison.  Patty later went on to cosmetology school at St. Joseph's in Minot, ND. She owned and operated her business out of her home in St. John from 1993-2004 when she retired.  Patricia then married Leonard Eller, which ended in divorce.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  They were always at her home keeping her company.  Patricia enjoyed playing cards (poker) at the casino, whist, pinochle, and under 10, a card game that she loved playing with her grandchildren for pennies.  She also had movie night with her grandchildren and popped popcorn "the old-fashioned way."  She loved the outdoors, horse riding, fishing, and bird watching.  She was well known for her gullet and special hors d'oeuvres that she loved to make at family gatherings. Patricia was a kind person who found good in everyone and never judged by what she saw on the outside, what meant the most to her was the beauty of what each person had to offer. She had a funny quote she used often, "You know every time you get a cut…you should soak your foot."

She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. Patricia is survived by her children, Cindy Trottier of Minot, Glenda (Rob) Bryant of St. John, and Neil Trottier of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Marcie Carvalho, Michelle Harviell, Dale Trottier Jr., Corrilyn (Dan) Henry, Kyle (Chasity) Malaterre, Colette Malaterre, Mike (Lisa) Bryant, Beau (Paige) Bryant, Tyler (Callie) Bryant, and Anthony (Natalie) Koistinen; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Poitra of Twin Cities, MN and Gwen Enno of Fargo; and nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Dumont, children, Dale and Valeri, brothers, LeRoy Kjervestad, Dennis Frederick, and Joe Dumont, sisters, Della Lindenman and Marie Peckham, and Leonard Eller.

Music by Alvin Poitra. Honorary Pallbearers are Dale Trottier Jr., Kyle Malaterre, Mike Bryant, Beau Bryant, Tyler Bryant, and Anthony Koistinen. Eucharistic gifts by Robert "Bubber" and Yvonne DeMers.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 3:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and Rosary Service at 2:00 PM prior to the funeral mass.  Father Richard Fineo presiding.
