Patricia "Patty" DeCoteau, age 71, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2021 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Patricia Ann DeCoteau was taken home on Friday, December 3, 2021.  The youngest of 14 children, she was born to Norman and Alice (Azure) Lilley in September 1950.  Patty had eight children, Tammy DeCoteau and Janelle Wallette (J.P.) from a former marriage, which ended in divorce.  She later married Kenneth DeCoteau, Sr. and together they had six children, Dawn, Garrett, Kenneth Jr. (Carmen), Collin, Priscilla (Garren), and Jordan (Cayla).  Patty had 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Patty was a registered nurse (R.N.).  She worked at IHS in Belcourt for 13 ½ years.  Prior to that, she worked at the hospital in Thief River Falls, MN.  She retired from nursing in 2005 because of illness.  Patty was a breast cancer survivor, who enjoyed going to bingo, playing solitaire on her ipad, and playing Yahtzee with her sister-in-law, Dean…even though Dean would beat her.  She also enjoyed attending church services at Pastor Clifford and Mary Peltier's house.

Patty is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sr.; her daughters, Tammy, Janelle, Dawn, and Priscilla; her sons, Garrett, Kenneth Jr., Collin, and Jordan; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother, Bill Slater; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Shirley (James), Betty Swain, Lolly (Ritchie) Lindquist, Dean DeCoteau, Esther Perdoma; brothers-in-law, Gary DeCoteau, Earl (Kim) DeCoteau, Raphael (Carla) DeCoteau, Leroy (Wendy) DeCoteau, Terry (Myrna) DeCoteau, and Gene (Kim) DeCoteau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and five sisters, and grandsons, Ryan and Jericho.

Casket Bearers are Jordan DeCoteau, Kenneth DeCoteau Jr., Garrett DeCoteau, Garren Counts, Jarrett DeCoteau, Perry Lilley, Gary (JP) Poitra Jr., and James Lilley Jr.  Honorary Bearers all family and friends.

A visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin), Dunseith, ND.  Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin), Dunseith, ND.  Burial will follow in St. Sylvan's Cemetery, Dunseith, ND.
