Norman Wilkie, age 60, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND surrounded by his loving family.

Norman Edward Wilkie was born on November 24, 1963 in Belcourt, ND to Edward Wilkie and Ruth (Lilley) Slater.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Norman was united in marriage to Jennie DeCoteau on January 11, 2008 in Belcourt.  He was the proud father of ten children, Sarah, Keaton, Kylene, Richard, Jessica, Kadyn, Keesean, Kylie, Kearah, and KaLeena. Norman loved time spent with his family members, his wife and children, and especially his baby, KaLeena.  He was a jack of all trades and worked as an auto mechanic for Neameyer Body Shop and Theels, as well as fixing many automobiles right at home.  He also worked for the city of Rolla.  Norman enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars and tinkering, and going to the casino.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Wilkie of Belcourt; children, Kylene (Joel) Vivier of Belcourt, Richard (Brandy) DeCoteau of Belcourt, Jessica (Bryne) Morin of Belcourt, Kadyn (Nikki) DeCoteau of Fargo, Keesean (Monica) Wilkie of Grand Forks, Kylie Wilkie of Belcourt, Kearah Wilkie of Belcourt, and KaLeena Wilkie of Belcourt; 16 grandchildren, Bradley, Joel Jr., Kyler, Treytin, Mia, Sarah, Tysen, Shae Jr., Kyleesha, Brylynn, Keaton, Kash, Jakoby, Richard Jr., Kaylca, and Madeline; three great grandchildren, Auria Jo, Kayleigh, and Landyn; siblings, William (Marlene) Slater of MN, Mike (Billie Jo) Slater of Belcourt, Charles Wilkie of Belcourt, Kevin Slater of Belcourt, Lori Slater of Devils Lake, Tammy Wilkie of Duluth, MN, Terry Wilkie of Missoula, MT, and Debby Olson of Seattle, WA; father and mother-in-law, Wally Sr. and Roberta DeCoteau of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Wilkie and Ruth Slater, daughter, Sarah DeCoteau, son, Keaton DeCoteau, grandson, Jacob Landyn, brother, Delane Slater, and sister, Donna Wilkie.

Casket Bearers are Kadyn DeCoteau, Richard DeCoteau, Payton DeCoteau, Joel Vivier Jr., Bradley Parisien, Ian DeCoteau, Kevin Slater, and Tysen Grant.  Honorary Bearers are Keesean Wilkie, Shae Grant Jr., Treytin Vivier, Kyler Vivier, Wally DeCoteau Sr., Wally DeCoteau Jr., and all brothers and sisters.  Eucharistic Gifts by Sarah Grant, Monica Azure, Kylesha Grant, and Kaleena Wilkie.  Readers are Nikki DeCoteau and Roberta DeCoteau. Rosary led by Roberta DeCoteau and Kaleena Wilkie.  Music by Chad Marcellais, Travis Vondal, and drummer, Keanon Brunelle.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with Father David Snow presiding.  Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.
