Myron DeLong, age 70, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility, Belcourt, ND.

Myron George DeLong was born on January 7, 1952 in Belcourt, ND to George and Lucille (Brunelle) DeLong. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  In 1980, Myron was united in marriage to Debra Lee Hoover in Portland, OR.  Myron was later united in marriage to Florene Mary Hall on October 15, 2001 in Belcourt.  He was a father to son, Myron Shane DeLong, daughter, Georgianna (Hall) Bercier, step-son, Jerome DeCoteau Jr., and step-son, Kalvin Brunelle. As a young man   Myron worked as a glazier/welder in the shipyards of Portland, OR and later, as a welder, for the Turtle Mountain Manufacturing Plant in Belcourt.  He also tried his hands in the boxing rings in Oregon and California.  Myron was musical and enjoyed playing guitar and singing, often times singing together with Florene (Flo).  Known for his singing of sad country songs, Myron had a smile that was known to hypnotize even the most prudent.  Back in the day, he was said to resemble Elvis so he taught himself to curl his lip while singing.  Myron had a wonderful sense of humor, always teasing and gaining a smile in return.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Myron is survived by his wife, Florene DeLong of Belcourt; son, Myron Shane (Iris) DeLong of Battle Ground, WA; daughter, Georgianna (Paul) Bercier of Minot; grandchildren, Chenoa, Cheyenne, Sage, Summer, and Mercy DeLong, Declan (Sunny) Bercier, Ryley (Kelsey) Bercier, Jacob DeCoteau, and Waylon DeCoteau; great granddaughter, Audrey Bercier; brothers, Robert DeLong, Frederick (Linda) DeLong, and Bernard (Diane) DeLong, both of Belcourt; sisters, Carol Demery and Alberta (Marvin) Malaterre, both of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Myron was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marlys DeLong, grandsons, Andrew James DeLong and Gideon Jay DeLong.  Myron was followed in death by his brother, Frederick (Freddy) DeLong on July 2, 2022.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  Father Tony Hession presiding.
