Obituary

Michael Nadeau Sr., age 62, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Michael Edward Nadeau Sr. was born on October 13, 1961 in Belcourt, ND to William Champagne and Barbara C. Nadeau. Michael was raised in Belcourt and received his education at Turtle Mountain Community School, graduating with his GED. Michael married Annette Malaterre in 1986, also becoming a father. They later divorced. He then married Brenda Desjarlais on June 10, 1994.  His work history included working on potato farms in the valley, doing maintenance for the Turtle Mountain Housing Authority, and driving semi.  Michael loved to work on cars, listen to country music, and collect hot wheel cars.  He enjoyed watching wrestling and especially loved football on television, cheering on the Vikings.  In his later years he liked caring for his wife Brenda and his grandchildren. We thank Michael for everything he was and all that he gave. May you forever rest in peace with the certain knowledge that you were, are, and always will be dearly loved and terribly missed.  Farewell.

Michael is survived by his wife, Brenda; his children, Felisha (Timothy) Boyer of Grand Forks, Misty (Perry) Demery of Dunseith, Michael (Ashley) Nadeau of Belcourt, Tony Nadeau of Bismarck, and Joseph Perez of St. Thomas; brother, Thomas (Linda) Nadeau of Belcourt; sisters, Delphine Delonais and Diana Nadeau, both of Belcourt; step-children, Marlin Parisien of Page, Sarah Parisien and Holly Parisien, both of Belcourt; grandchildren, Kaziah (Garrett) LaVallie, Ally (Landan) St. Claire, Anthony St. Claire, Storm St. Claire, Miraeya Nadeau, Natalie DeCoteau, Brandon Smith, Ray Jenkins, Lillian, Gabriel, Gracin, Tailee, Conway, Daniel, and Dakota Parisien, Saphina and Andie Trottier, Karsyn and Darrien Lattergrass, and Akadia, Azariah, Azanalt, and Azaydian Perez; great grandchildren, Kaius and Kenai LaVallie and Xavier and Aliaunah Parisien; and Goddaughter, Natasha Nadeau.
