Michael Brennan, age 77, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Andrew's Hospital, Bottineau, ND.

Michael "Mike" Hubert Brennan was born on April 15, 1945 in Bottineau, ND to Ray and Jeannette (Pilloud) Brennan.  He was raised in Dunseith and completed his education there as well.  Mike was united in marriage to Barb Otto and together they had three children, Susanna, Chance, and Lacey, while adding in two step-children, Preston and Jennifer. Mike worked in road construction and also was a rancher, loving his work and always being busy.  He enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Addison, who was born on his birthday.  He often gave her bottles full of change to feed her piggy!  Mike lived in the Dunseith area throughout his life and will be missed dearly by his family members and many friends.

Mike is survived by his children, Susanna (Chris Larson) Brennan of Surrey, Chance (Allyssa King) Brennan of Quemeno, KS, and Lacey Henry of Minot; step-children, Preston (Lisa) Nerpel of Dunseith and Jennifer (Dean) Poitra of Dunseith; five grandchildren, Samantha Poitra, Heather Gonzalez, Brady Nerpel, Brendon Nerpel, and Addison Henry; siblings, Velma Millang of Rolette, Dorothy Vandal of Cando, and Patty Groff of Bellingham, WA; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Brennan; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Janet Brennan, sisters, Mildred, Faye, and Shirley, and brothers, Dennis and Bob.

Casket Bearers are Sonny Brennan, Shannon Brennan, Mark Bernstein, Clayton Millang, Mark Millang, and Dean Striker.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Rolla Presbyterian Church, Rolla, ND with visitation beginning at Noon.  Dave Schnackenberg officiating.  Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Dunseith, ND in the spring.
