Mercedes Nadeau, age 27, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026 at her home.

Mercedes was born on July 9, 1998 in Denver, Colorado to Fernando Huertha and Margaret Nadeau.  She completed her education in Belcourt, ND. Mercedes was a wonderful homemaker.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Mercedes is survived by her siblings, Nevaeh Nadea of Rolla and Steven Ronquillo of Austin, TX; uncles, Leroy Nadeau of Belcourt and Troy Nadeau of Belcourt; God daughters, Avayah and Aviannah; nephews, Nathan, Jacob, Chrisitan, Oliver, and James, and niece, Amelia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Aloysius and Linda Nadeau.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Eagle Heart Cultural Center (Log Cabin) in Dunseith, ND.
