Obituary

Meranda Theresa Keplin, age 34, of Belcourt, ND passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 near her home.

Meranda was born in Belcourt, ND on April 16, 1986 to Don and Verna (Twiggy) Keplin. She was the youngest sibling of four. Meranda was raised on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation most of her life. She ventured off here and there throughout her adult life but always found her way back to her hometown. She graduated from the Turtle Mountain Community High School in 2004.

Meranda was the proud mother of 4 children, Kayte Rai, TiYahna, Kynlei and Bohdyi. She adored her children and often bragged about their accomplishments. Meranda was such a proud aunty to all of her nieces and nephews and would do anything for them. She was a faithful friend to many people. When she loved you, she would have your back to no end.

Meranda enjoyed a wide range of activities. She was a jack of all trades, from working on cars, cooking, baking and helped her sister April and her dad build her sister's house. She loved hanging out with her friends and family and was the life of the party. Meranda was always cracking jokes and making people laugh. She liked playing basketball throughout her middle school years and earned herself the nickname 'Halfcourt Mort' after she embarrassed herself by making a winning half-court shot.

Meranda will forever be missed and cherished by all that knew her.

Meranda leaves behind four beautiful children; Kayte Rai, TiYahna, Kynlei and Bohydi all of Belcourt; parents, Donald and Verna Keplin of Belcourt; siblings, Nicole (Keith) Blackwell, Chad (Jen) Laducer and April Keplin, all of Belcourt; nieces, Jordan LaVallie of Belcourt, Kaylee Laducer of Fargo, Kassandra (Wyatt) Azure of Rolla and Kenadee Laducer of Belcourt; nephews, Kevin (Kascaundra) Poitra of Minot, Shayden Keplin of Bismarck, Tannar Keplin, Chad Ladcucer Jr, Hunter Laducer and Ellie Blackbird, all of Belcourt.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Keplin, grandparents, Alma Lajimodiere, Katherine and Louis Keplin, her uncles, Clarence Lajimodiere, Dallas Keplin, Larry (Josie) Keplin and Melvin Keplin, and special cousin, Isiah Keplin.
